Traffic Marshal Services
Metro Security is an LTA-approved security agency authorised to deploy qualified Authorised Security Officers (ASOs), also known as Traffic Marshals, for road works and traffic regulation. We fully comply with all regulatory requirements to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
Road closures are implemented to facilitate the upgrading, maintenance, and installation of road infrastructure, underground utilities, and other roadside works. Our traffic marshals ensure all operations are conducted in full compliance with LTA regulations and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements.

Authorised Security Officers (ASO)
An Authorised Security Officer (ASO) is a licensed security officer authorised by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) to manage and regulate traffic at road closures. To qualify as an ASO, an officer must meet all of the following requirements:
- 01Completed the Conduct Crowd & Traffic Control (CCTC) training course
- 02Licensed under the Private Security Industry Act by PRD
- 03Employed by a licensed security agency
- 04WSQ-qualified and compliant with LTA deployment requirements
Authorised Road Configurations
ASOs deployed by Metro Security are authorised to manage traffic at the following LTA-approved road configurations:
Mid-Block Crossings
Managing pedestrian and vehicle movement at mid-block crossing points along a road section, outside of junctions.
Road Closures (≤2 Approaches)
Full or partial road closures where there are two or fewer vehicular approaches, such as on single-carriageway roads.
Non-Signalised Junctions
Traffic control at junctions without traffic light signals, directing vehicles and pedestrians safely through the intersection.
Signalised Junctions (≤2 Approaches)
Operating at traffic light-controlled junctions with two or fewer vehicular approaches, in coordination with existing signal systems.
